Central Bank of India Specialist Officer Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection will be based on two stages:

  1. Online Written Examination: The exam will be held tentatively in May 2026. It consists of 100 questions for 100 marks with a composite time of 90 minutes. The structure is as follows — 70 questions from stream/category-specific topics, 15 questions from Reasoning, and 15 questions from Banking, Present Economic Scenario and General Awareness. There is no penalty for wrong answers. The qualifying marks are 50% for General/EWS candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. Weightage for the written exam is 70%.

Bond: Selected candidates must execute an indemnity bond of Rs. 3,00,000 if they leave the bank within 3 years of selection.

Probation: Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years from the date of joining.
